We have discussed the possibility of them not being able to attend but don't want to make the offer until we know we have enough donors.

As I said in my post, this was just go get a feel for how many are interested and we won't be taking any donations until we can confirm they are needed.

We already have someone who is friendly with Brian's family that will confirm before we move forward.
