Hi Roy, If I can ever find he original information that gave the FB red lazy diamond its provenance I will send it to you. My computer that I had all of this on crashed and I haven;t been able to bring it in for repairs yet. I do know I printed each article out that Gene did and have it all in my office somewhere. Someone actually went to a guy in a nursing home and interviewed him and he had that exact red FB which I also found with other chips from the Frank Bohart camp. I brought them to the very first convention I went to about 7-8 years ago. Jim Steffner picked out the first one as Gene introduced me to him. I gave most of them away for nothing. The ones in the lazy diamond that look new and spaced further out I can tell you did not come from Frank Bohart. I was going to bid on these but when I contacted the seller on eBay he got them from an estate where the guys initials were FB. You can believe me or not. I no longer have that email account or email. He had multiple colors for sale. They had no provenance at all.
I think the red FB had a few pages that Gene out together and should be on the club web site under all his articles, so I guess I do not have to find my print out. Gene might also state what other chips I found in that same lot.
I miss Gene and and now have no desire in collecting Illegals or any other chips. Maybe someday I will get back in it but for now have some more important things to attend to. I still continue to join the club so not to drop out but this will be the first convention I will miss.
