just seems the "right thing to do." Exception: if the auction items are heavy (you choose to buy five horseshoes for your anatomically-challenged steed), buyer would have to pay something extra in keeping with the added weight. When a buyer pays through PayPal before I send an invoice with combined shipping (per-item shipping automatically charged thru eBay), I will try to refund excess postage paid. But if a seller really doesn't want to combine shipping and I buy several auction items from him, I will pay but think twice about buying from him/her again. Not saying I won't, just would think carefully about my costs incurred.
