for sale silver US dimes in quantity

I know you can purchase or sell US coins from a local coin dealer but they make a profit on the merchandise they buy or sell. I have a number of US silver dimes (pre 1965) that I'd like to dispose of. I thought offering them to a chip collector in the club might be a way in which we both benefit.

Shown above is the data on the silver dimes I've accumulated. All these are 1964 or earlier and I either purchased them from a dealer 50 or so years ago or bought a bag or two from my bank and sorted out the silver dimes by hand. The coin data and values are shown in the 1981 version, near the peak in silver prices when the Hunt Brothers in Texas tried to cornered the silver market. Prices have dropped significantly in the past 40-50 years and the per-coin prices you see in the 1981 version don't reflect the $1.65 per troy ounce price in today's market. As the table from the "Red Book" shows, there are about .0734 troy ounces in each dime when it falls from the press. A worn coin will have a bit less.

If you'd like to put aside a little silver in the form of US 90% sliver dimes, I'll send you some for the value of the silver in the dimes. This comes to about 10.4 cents price per coin. These little pieces of silver will always have some value and you will likely be able to buy a quart of milk or a loaf of bread with one of them based on the value of the precious metal it contains. I have several thousand dimes available and would send you 1, 10, 100 or 1000 depending on the size of the silver investment you'd like to make. The price of one silver dime is about 14 cents and I'll pay shipping to USA addresses in any reasonable quantity. If you'd like just one dime to see what they look like, I can send you one for 20c including postage. Larger quantities will be at the 14c price I mentioned.

Here is a scan of a few of the dimes to show their condition. Let me know if you have any interest. I'll hold the price until March 30th to make things easier. You can pay via Personal PayPal or by check if you're a Club member. Shipment will be by US Postal Service. If you want more than 1,000 dimes, I'll have to send them by USPS insured and there will be an added postage charge. All coins will be 90% silver and either UNC or Slightly Circulated 1964s.
