John's Bar, at 16 West Second Street in Reno, was owned by John Etchebarren in the 1930s and '40s.

I believe this same Basque family owned several saloons, hotels, and shops in that area since the turn of the century, including the Commercial Hotel / Northern Club on North Center Street.
