My smart phone has a switch in "settings" where I can make the phone a mobile hotspot. It shows up on the list of available networks on my laptop and I connect from there. It works great, and has more monthly 4G headroom than my Verizon Jetpack. A Jetpack is also an option if you aren't able to use your phone as a hotspot. As long as I have a Verizon signal, I have an internet connection available.
