We've done this Easter vacation at least a few times. Just seems we both have off and without family in the area, it's a nice time to just hit the road and relax.
Rooms at Mole Lake are $130 "Get Away", which includes $100 in slot play and $10 in food, each night. Virtually $20 room as long as we plug the machines. Since neither of us is honestly a gambler, we play and one watches, or maybe we hit the penny slots for awhile. I suppose the casino has that figured right, we play for free and they get the money back plus more if we are having fun. They also offer a $250 suite, $250 in "free" slot play.
I'm sure everyone understands how that works. You can't just put in the ticket and cash out, the machines track play. But after playing one of the $50 tickets, for example, and dropping $50 into the machine, anything we're ahead can be cashed into a TITO. Oh yes, they get most or all of it back by the end of the weekend, but we're happy to have a $20 room?
Just to show I'm not all nice, Mole Lake also has some of the best pool rules anywhere I've stayed. 18 and under must be accompanied by parents, and from 9pm to 11pm adults only. I know, a pool, we're just bobbing in the water, but there's something nice about a paddle at 10:30 without screaming flying toys. See, grumpy old man, I finally made it.
I don't know if Mole Lake has them but best room ever for us was at Menominee Keshena, a hot tub in the room, second floor, with a little deck overlooking the pool.
