Twice I did a casino run in WI while Cindy visited her family in Milwaukee. Both times I think I hit every casino in WI and upper MI. It was a lot of fun and beautiful drive (including seeing a bald eagle land on the side of the road to feast on some road kill). But that was the days when you could stay in a casino hotel up there for $35 a night and still get a decent room. These days they get about 4 times that amount. I actually leave in a few weeks for a one week casino run and antique trip from my home near Nashville to hit the casinos in Colorado. I have never been to Colorado and it should be interesting since I have to drive around Pike Peak to get from Blackhawk to Cripple Creek. I will also stop to hit a few casinos in Kansas and Oklahoma but most of the time I am staying in regular hotels since the casinos are so expensive. It should be an interesting trip and I want to see how hard it will be since I may want to drive to Las Vegas for the convention next year.
