The Whelan modified brass core chips, along with other similar chips, are on the ChipGuide specifically to let collectors know that they are not real casinos chips. If they were not on the ChipGuide and classified as FANTASY CHIPS, then a collector who did not know what they were and did not see them on the ChipGuide as a FANTASY CHIP might think that they are a new find and pay good money for them. We are doing our best to try and help collectors by providing factual information about all chips. If you think that there is a better way to do this, then please let us know how. Thanks.
