As with my TEXAS BELLE ivory... which was purchased by a sailor in NOLA (mounted; from a street vendor), in 1947. He and his buddy were just discharged from US Navy. They each bought one. I sold mine for $1500, and the other went home (Hawaii) with the buddy.

From what I have been told, NOLA saw a lot of the recent creations back then.

There was no TEXAS BELL, at least not listed in Way's.
