The blue chip below from the ChipGuide has been attributed to the Turf Athletic Club, Galveston. The seller of the c&s was from Galveston. Could be that the c&s was also Galveston?? If it was, it would probably would have been the first chip used by the club.

I’ve found that clubs spent less and less on chips as time went on.
