It is so good to see Tiger Woods in his red shirt playing competitive golf once again on a Sunday on the PGA tour. I have really missed watching him over the last three years as he was unable to play due to injuries, surgery, etc. I always hoped he would make a return - Pete V. I told you he was not DONE !!
He is scrambling but really scoring well despite hitting very few fairways and greens. His putting and chipping overall have really been very good !!
My only regret is that I am not in San Diego watching him play in person. I booked up my trip to Vegas before I knew he would be playing this week in San Diego. I thought about changing my entire trip to see him play but it would have been a lot of trouble and added expense to change everything. Oh well - I am just glad to see him playing again !!
If he continues to play I will definitely see him some time this year and rekindle our friendship which developed over the years that I saw him at various tournaments all over the country, including at Torrey Pines in 2008 when he won the US Open with a broken leg. That was the most impressive display of golf I have had the pleasure of seeing in person.
