I had posted something on the Slotcardbbs and thought I would add it here. International mail containing anything rigid and not pure paper type items can no longer be mailed at letter rates. All rigid items and any merchandise must now be mailed at package rates. If you check the USPS postage calculator for international mail the rigid item surcharge is no longer offered and you'll get a notice there is no available rate. That means mailing something like slot cards, room keys, etc. can no longer go in regular mail for sub-$3 rates. Minimum rate now for all international packages is $14 or $10 to Canada (yes Canada is included in the new rules). Supposedly it's new customs regulations since these packages now require new customs forms. EcommerceBytes newsletter had warnings for all online sellers.
