The maker of the Nevada casino slot tokens in the days after silver dollars disappeared was Franklin Mint. In addition to making Casino run tokens and sets of proof and proof-like tokens for collectors and casino brass, they made early-strike tokens using the same dies as for those made for casinos. At least inn 1969, the proofs had plain edges rather than the patented reeding sets that were made unique to each customer. If you wanted to get plain-edged tokens for your collection you had to have a proof.

One way the proof sets were packaged (at least in 1969) was in an orange cardboard holder with a hole in the center and mylar windows, kind of like the square card board holders made for collector coins. FM called these Easel Back Coin Holders and they could be used to display the casino tokens in a display setting.

Here are two of those proof tokens for sale, one from Club Cal Neva in Reno and one from Sparks Nugget in Sparks NV. This was from the period that John Ascuagua owned the nugget and these have the gold rooster on the face. These tokens have the same Franklinium II alloy in the base of the token. At least for these two products, there were 2,600 of the proofs struck compared with 25,000 made for casino use in the machines. The configuration of the reeding patterns is shown on the holders for these two customers although the edges of the tokens in the holders is plainly plain with no reeding at all.

I can send you these two proof slot tokens in their original holders to your USA address for $12 each. Both are unused of course.
