new postal rates simplified - starts Sunday

This chart from Stamps.com simplifies (to the extent possible) the new postal rates that take effect SUNDAY. All the electronic services will be updated to reflect these. You'll want to make sure you adjust the postage you charge customers.

The chart is more helpful than the Ebay chart that bragged about how the "average" postage rate was going down. The base rate is going up.

If you send a chip or two in a bubble envelope, the rate goes from $3 to $3.50 for retail (pay at the counter or add your own stamps). If you use PayPal, Stamps.com, or similar services the first class package rate goes from $2.61 to $2.66 because they apply a commercial discount. This may be the time to consider mailing through those methods, particularly since tracking is included in that commercial price.
