While not a complete answer just yet, here are some comments for now. Please be assured that all questions will be responded to, but do allow me the opportunity to answer within the scope of my overall campaign.
Thank you!

I'm sure those of you running for VP are planning statements regarding your candidacy & viewpoints. Here's a few things I'd appreciate seeing addressed in those statements:- What do you view as impediments to folks becoming members, and what are your thoughts on removing or mitigating those impediments?
- How do you plan to work with Jerry to further his vision for the CCA?
- What is the best use of our annual membership dues?
- What does the convention look like to you five years from now? Can it be better? If so, how?
- What are your thoughts on using social media to bring greater exposure to the CCA?Anybody else have other questions or concerns they'd like the candidates to speak to?
I saw from a recent post that the system probably needs a tweak or two to shorten the time it takes for a decided new member to act and get a full and complete acknowledgment that their membership has been recorded. I have full confidence that this can likely be resolved by the Membership and Treasurer officers and the fact that this incident was noted in that thread, and reflected here, this could be a non-issue even before the Installation of new Officers in June.
Another "impediment" I see for adding new members, is that many see us as a 'chip-only' collecting club. We need to better promote the Club as a casino and gaming memorabilia and collectibles Club, and that we are heavy into documenting the history of casinos and gaming, as an Educational Project.
Lastly, sometimes (and thankfully, not often) negative commentary and mudslinging occur on the Message Boards. While healthy discussion, even heated candor can be a good thing, bickering and name-calling, in my opinion, only serves to push people away. Being human, I have made that error in the past and I strive to not repeat that behavior.
With respect to working with Jerry Vergatos to further his vision for the Club... First and foremost, I have a great respect for Jerry and his leadership skills. Jerry and I are very compatible and supportive of each other, as we both serve on the Club's, Museum of Gaming History (MoGH) Board and on the Board of the Southern Nevada Casino Collectibles Club (SNCCC). We often discuss MoGH and SNCCC matters, in an effort to share different perspectives and look for solutions or approaches to different matters. Our track record is solid and I see no problem with me being behind his current vision for the Club.
More to follow in my campaign... But please remember Scott's comment to everyone and feel free to post:
Does "Anybody else have other questions or concerns they'd like the candidates to speak to?"
