Jim Follis used to post a lot on "Chiptalk.net" and promoted the club well over there.
If I recall correctly that is probably what made me join.
That site is all but dead now, and everyone has moved over to "Pokerchipforum.com".
"Pokerchipforum.com" is a thriving community of people interested in poker and casino chips.
It's their 5 year anniversay this year and it is just getting bigger & better.
(Almost 500 members have logged in in the last 24 hours, not counting random visitors).
On "pokerchipforum.com", I'm not sure if many CCGTCC members are on there. I know John Chamberlain is on there.
And Ricky advertises there (all-chips.com).
Suggestion:
Whenever you interact with someone there, there is a spot where you can have a pre-typed message that appears each time called your "signature".
For a club member posting over there, that signature spot would be a great place to promote the club as it's always there and wouldn't necessarily feel too forced.
Tommy, the moderator and owner of the site also has banners all over the site.
That could be an opportunity to put a ccgtcc banner.
I'm putting a picture of one of my recent posts over there. The section between the dotted lines is the signature area where you can write anything to automatically appear each time you post a message. Most use it, like me, to express which chips they're currently looking for.
Any ccgtcc members who use that site to interact with other chippers could promote the club in that signature, even including a working link to the website.
