WHY ARE CARIBBEAN CHIP PRICES SO LOW? TOO MANY?

WHEN I WAS A KID IN MIAMI BEACH I USED TO FLY ALL OVER THE CARIBBEAN ISLANDS IN SEARCH OF WINE - WOMEN- AND CHIPS! ...
MOST OF MY CARIBBEAN COLLECTION WAS OBTAINED BY ME WALKING IN AND OUT TO GET A CHIP .... I HAVE SEEN SOME HI-DENOMINATION CHIPS FROM THE ISLANDS AT VERY LOW PRICES .... CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHY? .... ARE THEY LIKE AN ORPHAN? ... I KNOW OLD LAS VEGAS CHIPS COMMANDS HIGH PRICES ... ETC. .... PLEASE EDUCATE ME ... THANK YOU RICH BURGEL
