The age question is pretty common to all kinds of organizations and clubs, around the world. It's not just the chip club. I mean car racing, sailing, tennis, bowling, stamp collecting, coin collecting, and I could keep listing for line after line. The age of the BOD and most of the members is not the cause of lower membership it's the result. We hang on and keep enjoying the hobby while new people are not as interested. It's the way of the world right now. Many would rather tap their phone or breed crypto kitties and have no interest in old plastic chips and obsolete machine tokens.

Las Vegas is also trying to deal with the same issues. https://skift.com/2017/11/26/las-vegas-gambles-it-can-attract-millennials-with-instagram-worthy-moments/ If young people don't gamble or go to Las Vegas as a destination, why would they be interested in collecting history of gaming and the old casinos? WHY?

Just asking because you pointed this out, I just want to make sure I read the post right? You aren't a member, but you want to come and tell us all how to run the club? Seems a bit presumptuous. Maybe you should renew and then you have a personal stake, that would also be more credible than suggesting for a overthrow of the current system, coming from another country.

Did someone else suggest you could start your own club? Might be a thought for you. Wouldn't be the first time that someone saw a better way (in their opinion) and started a competing club, league or governing board. Then you could have your ideas put to the test in a positive way, challenging the status quo without all the roadblocks. Some of the offshoot orginizations have been a success and taken over their area of interest. Best Wishes
