I think the market is fine for the very rare/expensive chips and the very cheap 'bargain bin' chips.

It's the 98% of chips in between these two groups that no one seems to be buying unless they can get them at highly discounted prices.

I agree with Rich regarding the $5 and to a lesser extent the $25/$100 Limited Edition chips that saturated the market several years ago.

Those might have initially brought more collectors into the hobby, but now they are driving many collectors away who purchased them in great quantities at one time for good money who now see they are virtually worthless..
