I used to visit about every other year, except the years that I went two or three times, passing through. The record short visit was coming home from LA with a stop over in LV, connecting flight to Chicago. I used my free Stardust room coupon, landed, gambled, had lunch, took a nap, caught a flight out.
Meanwhile, I'm planning a visit in the near future for a few nights. We're staying at The Linq (which didn't exist last time we were there?) On the list will be the big wheel, hopefully the hotel offers some discount for people staying there. Valerie wants to do the roller coaster on NY NY. Last trip we went to Primm and rode that one = loved it!
Also didn't exist was the Monorail. Can we take that downtown now? I'll have a rented car, but heck, that would be a nice ride? Or not?
Is there still anyplace that has old reel slots? I thought I read that one place downtown did. We like to have fun and the machines with 27 lines are kind of over the top. I mean if I could find a three line newer machine that would be fine, but the newest, it's just a screen with a bunch of symbols, I can't even tell what's a line anymore, with the zigs and zags and reads left to right for one amount, both ways for another. WTHeck does that mean? (hope that makes my point) I know the odds don't change, but I'd at least like to be able to read the screen and imagine I just missed? LOL
I should probably subscribe to the Las Vegas Advisor. Used to be one trip, the coupons would pay for the whole years subscription. Still that good?
