The recent passing of Keely Smith at 89 brought back memories of the old Sahara and the Casbar
Lounge. I remember going to see Louis Prima and her along with Sam Butera and the Witnesses
in their after midnight shows whenever they were in town. I also remember seeing them at Harrah's
Tahoe when I worked there in 1966. They did some crazy stuff-one of the best lounge acts ever.
