but I really can't see the cars being deserving of the Hall of Fame. I liked them, but they were not especially influential, did not have enough hits, and didn't last all that long. I can think of a number of bands around that same time that are much more deserving. This is not based on my preferences, but on what i imagine makes a band worthy of the Hall. For example, Bon Jovi is not my personal cup of tea, but I think they are a good choice. I actually like the Cars a lot more. I just don't see them being big enough or meaningful enough.
