Greetings to all of the members of the SNCCC! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends gathered around you.

MARK HALL-PATTON – Many thanks to Mark for providing us with his great presentation. He is truly one of a kind. As a show of appreciation, Mark was given an honorary Life Membership to the SNCCC.

He is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with twenty years of investment, development, finance, and transactional experience. He is presently based in Las Vegas where he specializes in asset management of casino resorts.

MoGH DONATION – Charles Kaplan has responded to our donation of $300 to the MoGH. He has reinforced our commitment to the future of the MoGH and all its endeavors.

UNLV – Having approved two $250 scholarships/grants, the Board, along with Roger Herman, the sponsor will be consulting with the Financial Aid Department at UNLV to determine the criteria for the applicants of the grants. Your input is appreciated.

REVIEW JOURNAL – The design of the ad to appear will be finalized by next week. The ad will be printed in time for the December meeting. We will be inviting the public to join us at our next meeting. The ad will appear in the collector’s section of the paper.

RICH BURGEL – Many thanks for the handout of key chains at our last meeting His generosity is only exceeded by his willingness to contribute to the club’s success.

DONATIONS – Many thanks to all our club members who donate the merchandise at our 50/50 auction. Our auction winners always walk away with a handful of casino memorabilia.

REFRESHMENTS – At our December 12th meeting, we will be again offering refreshments and snacks to celebrate the Holiday Season.

AUCTION – SUPER DONATION – A Club member, wishing to remain anonymous, has donated half the proceeds of a hotel package at The Orleans Hotel during the New Years weekend. The package includes 2 nights accommodations for December 30 and 31. This prize will be added to the Club’s 50/50 auction in December. Please NOTE: the winner must be able to provide a credit card number to The Orleans, as is their policy. The card will not be charged.

NOMINATIONS – There were no nominations for all the current officer positions. The current officers reaffirmed their commitment to continue for another year. Obviously, the membership feels that all the officers are doing a fine job and wish them further success and appreciation for their work.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF PRESENT CLUB OFFICERS
I wish to acknowledge the officers of the club and their contributions this year.
Rick and Terri Lonski – Rick stepped up and agreed to take on the Vice-President position mid-year after the loss of Tony Tricoli. Together with Terri, they run the 50/50 raffle and contribute many items to the raffle. I certainly appreciate their efforts and generosity.

Rich Klabacha – As Membership Director, Rich has done a fantastic job keeping track of our membership. He travels quite a bit to attend our meetings and we are lucky to have a person of his caliber in our club.

Jim Diezinger – Our longest serving member of the club! Serving as Treasurer for at last 15 years, Jim has always been there when no one wanted to do this important job.

Dale & Sally Hoyna – Serving as Board Members at Large, their help in running the registration table and the Club’s auction has been exemplary. They are dedicated and unselfish with their time to the Club’s activities.

Jim Folis – Jim has always been the go-to person in our Club. His passion and enthusiasm are evident in all his endeavors. I would also like to say that I might have given second thought to becoming President for the next year if Jim was not involved. In many cases, he has always been there for me with his vast knowledge and wisdom.

Volunteers – A special thanks to the many volunteers who helped this year – Roger Herman, Rich Burgell, Mary Ann & Bruce Massey, Tree Shields, Christine & Sheldon Smith, Pam Focazio, Casey Focazio-Follis, Carey Burke, Michael Spinnetti, Steve Gobel, and Ron Gaudette.

FACEBOOK – We are in the final stages of launching our Facebook site. Ron Gaudette, along with Jim Follis, are spearheading the effort. The administrators are: Jim Follis, Ron Gaudette, Jerry Vergatos, and Roger Herman. Details will be announced shortly. This effort will lead to a Convention-Camera (ConCam) capability at the CCA Annual Conventions.

MY THANKS – I have enjoyed my past year as your President and hope you have as well. I have tried to present a more interesting and diverse group of speakers. I am also open to any suggestions you may have. I look forward to the next year and hope to achieve an even better program.

Sincerely,
Jerry Vergatos
President
