We stopped by Cripple Creek, CO on our way home from the convention last summer. While we were getting our player's cards at the Century Casino, I was caught humming the music to The Band's "Up on Cripple Creek." The host behind the desk told me she learned that the location for the song's Cripple Creek was not Colorado, but Virginia. I have no idea if she was correct but she sure seemed to believe it.
