Since the Queen is away, the mice will play!
Casey and I headed out to do some Garage/Yard Sales this morning and I found some stuff!
Only had a $20 bill with me, so I think I did good!
Started off with these 10 ashtrays that took just over 50% of my stake.
At the next stop I got this bag of chips and the Palms craps layout (which is doubling as a car cover for this pic.) The bag of chips yielded close to 100, plastic, diamond mold chips and 20 of the Paulson sample chips and 19 of the cancelled Argosy Gaming chips. Not shown is a Harvey's 25 cent chip, coated in epoxy for some reason, and a lone die from the Fiesta.
At the next stop I got two 1/2 moon sheets of slot glass.
And last, but not least, at one stop I had asked the homeowner if they had any "casino" items, like chips and dice. She said yes, and went off to look. Just then, someone there asked me if "this was what I was looking for?" and he showed me a $25 LVH chip. I said yes, but that since the place is now Westgate, the LVH chips were no longer cashable. The homeowner returned with a $1 slot token, a $5 Riviera LE chip and a Gold Coast 41 chip. All three were heavily used, so I passed. As I was walking away, the guy with the $25 was still there and he asked it had any value. I told him in the "used" condition that it was, it was worth $5 to a collector. He said he would take that, and I paid him $5. I then asked him if he was with the homeowner and he said, No, he just happened to be looking at the yard sale stuff!!!!
