Don was a chipping buddy -- who always remembered what members collected, and he brought chips he knew members needed when he set up at the conventions. I got to know Don over the past five years, and soon became a .50-cent collector for him. He would always say when he saw me, "What You Got For Me Today!" -- referring to all the Oklahoma casinos that usually issued new half-dollar chips on a regular basis. We developed a friendship over the years based on the small value chips. I would hand over what chips I had found from the past year, and we would trade one for one as he picked up lots on Northern Oklahoma chips during his trek from Nebraska while driving to the convention. Don was truly a friend of many, and his commitment to the hobby will be sorely missed. May he have eternal peace and find all the fifty-centers along his glorious path. RIP, my friend! It was a pleasure knowing you on a personal basis -- and you will be sadly missed.
