I have a semi connection to the Houston win. The Astros starting pitcher in the final game was Lance McCullers. He played team ball, before he hit the big time, for Midland, which is about a mile from my house. Midland fields some very good post high school, college age teams. I've heard once a couple players from the Midland team were in a tournament in another state and were going to have a tough time making it back to there home field for another game. The team's owner sent his private jet out to pick up the guys. Now that's a real commitment to his players. And winning.
