I lived in Fairbanks from 1954-1956. The only things I really remember about the place are winters were really cold (I was born in Duluth MN, so my family was used to that kind of winter weather), in the winter it got light for a while but the sun stayed below the horizon during the day, and in the summer it was still light outside at 1:00 a.m. in the morning!
