On my main desktop I keep it on 24/7 and keep several tabs open on both Internet Explorer and Chrome. Many days I try to do something and it is really slow. When I go to the task manager I can see that there are a few IE and Chrome processes that are taking up 1-2 million bytes of memory instead of the 100-200K that is normal and that is slowing everything down. I can stop those processes and everything goes back to normal (although I have to refresh those web sites that I stopped the processes on).
Any idea why the big increase in the memory of those few processes over time and is there a way to stop it? Could it have something to do with the ads on those websites?
