I don't usually follow baseball. I've been to more major league games in St. Louis (2) than in Denver (1)! The series this year is different for personal reasons. A very good friend and his family lost everything in the floods this summer. He and his daughter were actually rescued from their flooded home by someone in a canoe! I saw him last month while working race in Charlotte. Thankfully, insurance is or will be covering the majority of their losses, but some things can never be replaced. I think the Astros just being in the series has been a real boost to the community, and them winning it would be even better!
