Everyone should know by now that the Sonoma County area is burning up .Several of my friends have lost their homes .We have rescued safes from some of their burned out homes and are waiting to get into closed areas .The average 1 & 1/2 fire safe safes don't make in a fire like this .Some were melted into a lump others warped and have to be cut in to .If you need to do that use a demo saw on the back to cut the metal and cement then use a drill to start a slot to get a saws-all with a hack saw type blade so you don't get sparks inside the safe .If you have papers in them they are tender dry . I don't know what the heat will do to chips .It melts coins .
