My Family got lucky twice.

My Brother's anniversary was Yesterday and they were going to do a staycation night in a nice hotel. Mandalay Bay was their first choice, but was a bit expensive, so they stayed at the Paris instead. They were told to stay in their room once the incident began... They weren't planning on leaving the room anyway ;-). They said about 8 am this morning that the casino was empty when they went down for breakfast. Casino was open, just nobody there. Looks like all the casinos are going to take a revenue hit...

Their son's friends asked him to go to the concert. In a fit of divine luck, he was too tired to go after work. He normally goes out after work 5 days a week, being a 23yo single guy. No word yet on if his friends went...

My Physical Therapist is a newbie in town and went to go see the Michael Jackson show at the Mandalay. He was in the place when it all happened. Madness. He ended up on a bus to the Thomas and Mack (a indoor arena on the UNLV campus) where they were taking displaced persons. He finally got an Uber at 5 am to take him home as they couldn't get back to get their cars out. He got no sleep before taking an Uber to work this morning, and still has to go back and rescue his car this evening. He's a huge Country Music fan and would have gone to the concert if the MJ tickets hadn't fallen into his hands!
