Sending a chip abroad by parcel mail (First Class Package International Service) is expensive -- over $13 to Europe for example.):
(Price Groups 1 and 2 are Canada and Mexico. Europe is 5.)

Here is a better way, if (1) only one or a few chips, (2) the chip is relatively inexpensive or you have lots of them, and (3) it is a sturdy casino chip (not an old clay chip that can break easily):
Send it First Class International Letter rate:
For example, to Europe the postage is about $1 or $2 for 1 or 2 ounces, plus a 21-cent non-machinable surcharge.
This is what you have to do to send it in a letter:
¶ sandwich the chip between cardboard (like from a Cheerios cereal box).
¶ tape that to a paper.
¶ put it in a sturdy envelope.
¶ be sure the whole thing is no more than 1/4 inch thick (rule for letters).
¶ you can attach a CN-22 customs for if you like (nice for tracking via customs number, in some cases), or just send it without a customs form.
