Hi Rich,
My favorite movie Theater I have two to speak of. Growing up in the late 1960's my Theater of choice was my home town Kaneohe Theater (Demolished in late 70's early 80's). When there almost every Saturday during the summer months watching many of the John Wayne movies, Jerry Lewis movies,
Bonnie and Clyde, Ten Commandments , Sound of Music, West Side Story, all the popular movies during that time . Admission was 15 cents, popcorn 10 cents, candy bar 5 cents. A dollar could last for the whole movie if you spent wisely. My second was the recently renovated Hawaii theater . Used to go there in the late 60's , early 70's . Those were the days of Bruce Lee, and all the beach blanket girl
Movies Annette Funicello. Some movies were pg13 so I was able to sneak in depending on ticket clerk, but on the "R" rated movies it was a hit or miss to get in . Now the Hawaii Theater just hosts plays , opera and special events . It is a historical Theater from the hey day of old Hawaii . I'm glad they renovated and is still open .
