I was born and partially raised in Long Beach. In the 70's I was visiting my mother; went to a monthly meet; saw some chips; reached out to take one and a hand grabbed me! It belonged to a friendly police office whom I had never met before and who collected gambling items. Ended up being a long term friendship.
