Questions concerning Tonopah/"Tohopah" casino chips and of course, Ebay listings and therefore questions. I have a beautiful Turquoise $50 Tohopah chip and was advised on this site shortly after I joined the that my chip was a FANTASY chip; and I am almost certain I viewed these chips on the Fantasy chip website. I have been unable to locate this site and would very much appreciate if someone who knows the link would respond with this information - Thank you!
In reading the descriptions of each of the 4 Tonopah error chip listings they state, or cite the same information. Copied and pasted from one listing:
Mizpah Hotel $20.00 Error Casino Chip Tonopah Nevada
Mizpah hotel and casino was originally built in 1907 and newly renovated in 1978. Casino is located in Tonopah Nevada. This chip was never used in the casino. It was made in error, the word Tonopah is misspelled "Tohopah". This design will never be used again. The legitimacy and reason these chips were made is unclear.

ARE THESE FRAUDULENT OR SELLER UNAWARE (I'm sure...) LISTINGS? Or does the possibility exist that these are error chips? Is it at all possible the information is either unclear, unavailable and/or unknown? Are these chips considered by any reputable chippers to be error chips, or are they without question fantasy chips? I want to thank you all in advance for your help; AND for being incredible people with integrity and honor, as well as for your wisdom and guidance you provide and are always willing to provide.
Ebay Link - my apologies, but didn't know where exactly to include this:
