According to a book by Jim Sloan, Harvey and John Birges spent many hours together at Harvey's
Carson Valley ranch talking business. Harvey actually took a liking to John and it was John Birges
who suggested to Harvey that he build the tunnel connecting over to Harrah's! I was living in Reno
when the bomb went off and went up to see the damage the next day. I remember wondering if
there was any damage to the chip display that had got me interested in collecting.
