So, last night I ended up selling a $100 Caesars commemorative on eBay for $36.55.
After the auction the winner starts sending me questions and asking if this is a real chip or a fake.
I tell him it's a real chip and an unused notched sample.
He then asks if he can take this to the casino and cash it in for $100.
I explained to him why he can't do that.
1) he didn't win it at the casino
2) it's an obsolete chip that most likely is beyond its redemption notice
3) it's NOTCHED as in my description
He then says he made a mistake and doesn't want the chip as he is going to Vegas soon and planned to cash this in. He told me that I should have had a better picture and explained it better.
WHAT????
I clearly explained it was a sample both in the title and decription. Showed a clear scan of both sides as notched and described it completely.
Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing I can do as a seller as he would just return the chip anyway.
Sellers can't even leave negative feedback for people who do this so absolutely no one knows how many other times he has run the same thing.......
Frustrated for wasting my time more than anything else........
