My roommate got instructions on how to make a pinhole camera . . . one hour into the event. It was a race against time as he looked for a cereal box, piece of tinfoil and some tape! First box, the hole was too large. He finally got something working, just in time for the 65% "totality" we could experience. Cat wanted his stomach scratched and jumped into sun-gazing roommate's lap, halting astronomical observations. Second roommate woke up (that alone is exciting) and came out to look, too. I used some old film negatives to burn out my retinas and take a photo. If it came out, I will post on this site tonight.

We almost never get thunderstorms out here so this and watching the tomato plants grow passes for excitement.
