It would seem that you aren't from the Bay Area!!! Crockett is located next to Interstate 80 in the shadow of the bridge, it isn't located on Highway 4 at all. The town you are referring to would be Port Costa which is located down a winding road off Highway 4.
A map of the Bay Area shows all of this, sure hope you have a GPS unit on your bike.
