1. The tradition is not the South Point. Prior conventions were held at the Tropicana, Aladdin and Riviera, for many years.
2. Our convention is too small to be considered by most strip casinos at all.
3. Yes, the cost is considerably more at other locations.
4. Not every casino has the facilities we need for our conventions.
I believe this is what I have read, but anyone who has had a hand in negotiating contracts for the convention can correct me if I am wrong. Sadly, there are not a whole lot, if any, other viable options.
