Regarding at least two of the other reasons you mention, I can easilly understand why some folks would be turned off... though, in my opinion; it would appear that those few might not actually be serious collectors to begin with since from what I have noticed from day one on this site. Meaning, I would think any serious collector can easilly bypass any topic (post) they're not interested in and easilly focus on the main reason they came here to start with; especially since there isn't much of a choice to start with where chippers gather online. Personally, I could easilly pass over many, many posts in order to find those lf interest to me but, this hobby is my number one hobby and nothing seems to be in my way each and every time I visit here, nothing...
