I have not used this program but get the impression it is intended for professional graphics people who would already be comfortable with full Photoshop. I use Photoshop Elements which for under $100 will give you a well debugged program that's easy to use. Check ebay for inexpensive ways to legally acquire the software for even less ($25-40). I've found that you don't need a later version. I use version 10 with Windows 7 on a laptop, scanning from an Epson scanner directly to the PE software program and printing with a HP inkjet printer.

Version 10 is still supported by Adobe and you won't have any problems using this older version.,
