Re: customer service
In Response To: customer service ()

Jim, I was responding at the end of a long day but wanted to put my information out.

Stamps.com provides an application for mail rates based on size and weight. I use the postage, under "Mail Pieces" for "Large Envelopes and Flats". I weigh the envelope and chip on the postage scale, which feeds automatically into the application, choose the mailing date, choose whether I want tracking or not and print the postage and mailing label, which is usually $.98.

For most of my mailings, I do not use tracking as the amount of the sale is small. If it is a high value chip or item, I can choose insurance and tracking. Usually with high value items, I use Priority Mail, which already includes tracking. If you go to My Ebay now, (click at the bottom of this message), you will see I have two higher value items being sold. Both of these will get special packaging, postage and insurance. I sometimes get stuck on postage, versus what I charged, if any, in the sale for postage. I often use free shipping on small items.

I have been on Ebay since 1999 and have only lost two items to shipping this way. Both were small value items and I either replaced them from my inventory or refunded the money, both instances adding money or another chip or two to make up for the added effort of the Buyer. 95% was a " I was tired and not really thinking too well" statement. If you go to my Ebay, you will see 100% after my name for 1819 transactions. 18 years of excellent customer service results in this number!!

As for people just saying, "I didn't receive it," I have faith that people are honest, especially chippers.

Blessings,
