Greetings to my fellow Club members!
Congratulations to Christine and Sheldon Smith on a great newspaper article and being featured in the local media! It was very entertaining and informative. As always, Christine and Sheldon were both polished and articulate. They are a true credit to our Club and the hobby.
Another CONGRATULATIONs as well, to Roy Nelson for achieving the highest award in the National CCA, The Hall of Fame Award! Roy’s dedication and service is a great inspiration to us all. I am proud to say he is a member of the Southern Nevada Casino Collectibles Club.
At our August 8th meeting, a memorial celebration will be held for Gene Trimble. The memorial will begin at 6:30 in Salon A at the Gold Coast. Gene was a friend to many of our members and will be greatly missed.
There will be no speaker this month as I will consider this a business meeting. On the agenda, I hope to have discussions concerning our meeting format, future locations for the meetings, and any other topics the membership would like to discuss.
Our meeting will commence with the auction after the minutes are read. Please sign up for this worthy event. This is the main revenue generator for our club. There will be some special items not advertised up for auction as well. Auction items will be noted in the monthly Invitation.
I received the tokens from our July speaker, Roger Snow as promised. I’ll be passing them out to all that attended that meeting.
Our membership continues to grow and with your help, we can get bigger. Please feel free to invite family and friends to join us.
I will have two new personalized chips available to trade with area members, so bring them with you and let’s trade! (I will give you one even if you don’t have a personalized chip of your own!)
