A & J should be Hanseth & Horn's Homestead Café in Tulelake, open in 1937. I've never seen a chip from there.
B & W is the Black & White in Gustine, Raulin Mendonca's home town. Chips also came in red and blue. Raulin told me that "high rollers" there used to toss down a red, white and blue chip and yell out "Patriotic bet!" I don't know the numerical value of it but apparently that was quite the large poker challenge there.
