He was one of the owners, and certainly profited from the site in an obscene amount, but I have never heard that he was aware of what was going on in the day-to-day operations that caused the problems. In fact, I believe he has never made a public statement about it (which is not really the nicest way to handle the situation, I will grant you that). The company screwed people over, while sending out huge checks to the owners and investors. I don't know if he really did anything wrong. All of the accounts I have heard point to other people. Should he have voluntarily given up profits, beyond whatever the US Govt. required him to reimburse? I don't know. If you know more, I would love to read about it.
