Receiving any volunteer chips slipped my mind, especially these many days since the Convention. My cousin who lives in Las Vegas is a creature of habit, and when he preferred to meet me for dinner at Arizona Charlie's that Saturday evening, I had to break away from the Volunteer Soiree (for want of a better word), just after the speech by Vinnie the Bookmaker.
As it was I arrived at Charlie's to find my cousin Charlie (or "Chip" as his nickname was) awaiting me. Nope, Chip does not collect chips. I returned to the South Point for the Last Dance Trade Session but by then I was too stuffed to partake of the cake leftovers which eventually were wheeled out by the staff - presumably to feed to the Peruvian Horses back there somewhere.
