Gene was always extremely helpful to me when I was starting out and even after. Always willing to offer helpful advice. I had a feeling this wasn't good when he was silent for so long from the board, didn't answer e-mails inquiries about his well being and absent from the convention.

My deepest sympathies to his friends and family. I wish I had a chance to meet and thank him. I am very sad to hear this.
